SINGAPORE AIRLINES LIGHT UP THE NIGHT CARNIVAL 2016

Singapore GP, Rev Up Singapore! and the Singapore Tourism Board have teamed up with Singapore Airlines to present the Singapore Airlines Light Up the Night Carnival. There is lots to do, from watching stunts performed at hair-raising speed by daredevils, to racing in Go-Karts. Kids can also enjoy video games, an inflatable bouncy castle and fun colouring activities. The event will include grub on site with Milk & Honey yogurt parfaits. Attendees can also get their hands on F1 race day tickets and exclusive KrisShop and Singapore GP merchandise.

SPLIT UP BY PLAYCIRCLE

Venue: Goodman Arts Centre (Black Box)

Playcircle, formed by ARTivate, known as the youth wing of Drama Box, will present its debut performance, Split Up. The play explores family dynamics in the relationship between a daughter and her loving father, as the protagonist struggles to pursue her dream. The performance will be conducted in English and Mandarin, without subtitles. Interested attendees can get their tickets by emailing emailplaycircle [at] gmail.com.

SILVER AND FIT IN THE CITY

Leading natural health brand Blackmores and GuavaPass have created a new fitness initiative called Silver and Fit In the City for seniors. There will be complimentary Strala Yoga classes, which focus on slow, calm and moving motions to get them moving and stay fit. Goodie bags worth up to S$138 will be given to attendees. Sub City makes a return following its succesful run at HPL Building on Cuscaden Road. This time, Sub City will invade the outdoor area of Kult Kafe with funk music. The event will also see the return of famed DJ and producer, Diphasic, accompanied by an all-star line-up of Singaporean DJs such as Aresha and Senja.

Celebrate all things local and fresh at Gillman Barracks bright and early tomorrow. Meet your local farmers and growers during the event, including Aerospring Gardens, Ah Hua Kelong and Microgreensg. Activities such as woodworking by TouchWood GUI and silkscreen printing by Little Collective will also be held on site for a fun-filled day. You can also expect live entertainment, supported by Mars and Izat & Vishie.

URBAN VENTURES AT JIAK CHUAN ROAD

To celebrate the third annivesary of Lime House, Urban Ventures is transforming Jiak Chuan Road into a Caribbean extravaganza with arts, activities, live music, dance performances and more. Look forward to activities and programmes such as Un-Olympic Games from 4pm where young and old are encouraged to participate to see who can reach the finishing line and live salsa music with a sizzling salsa performance to fire up the crowd.

Organised by the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE), the inaugural FestivalForGood celebrates the spirit of social entrepreneurs and their innovation and passion to do good. There a pop-up market featuring socially-conscious merchandise from brands like Cloud Bridge, Project Dignity, Wheelys Cafe as well as workshops organised by Society Staples, Flow Fitness and Sew Into It. HEADS UP: PAW PATROL’S FIRST ‘LIVE’ SHOW IN ASIA

Paw Patrol fans rejoice. City Square Mall is bringing in Nickelodeon’s popular animated series Paw Patrol and staging the first “live” show in Asia, where you can follow Chase, Marshall and Ryder on their rescue mission. There is also a carnival prepared for families and kids at City Green, incorporating a dog-themed inflatable and a dog pirate ship. Don’t forget your cameras.

HEADS UP: GROUND-UP YOUTH EXHIBITION - SEVEN DEADLY SINS

In conjunction with Singapore Night Festival, Band of Doodlers presents its inaugural ground-up exhibition titled Seven Deadly SINs (Strength In Numbers). Among 70 youth artists were selected and mentored by seven youth mentors for over a month to produce the colourful and quirky artworks here.
