Adams school fundraiser

To the editor:

The Adams Township School District Foundation held its fourth annual dinner, auction and raffle on Sept. 30. Executive Chef Eric Karvonen and his staff served an excellent dinner at the Jeffers High School. Event attendees were able to tour the high school, trades and greenhouse buildings.

A crowd of 150 enjoyed a fun-filled evening. Foundation President Marty Iskra gave a status update on the new culinary center which is scheduled to be open in January 2018.

Proceeds from the evenings event will be used to help fund the new culinary center. A special thanks goes out to Marti Rashleigh and Lorraine Tomasi for co-chairing the event.

Thank you to the following businesses and individuals who donated items for the live auction and raffle. Nature’s Way Woodworking Dave Stimac, Ron and Sue Antila, Dr. Frank and Nancy Rugani, Martin Johnson, MTU Athletic Department, Finlandia Athletic Department, Jeffers High School trades class Mr. Gary Miller and to auctioneer Jim Manderfield. Table decorations were provided by the Flower Shop Missy Goulette, and table linens were from Columbia Linen Service, Joey LanFranki.

A special thanks to all who bought tickets and attended the event. Without your support the event would not have been successful.
