Barrie’s Pratt Homes gets woodworking award

Pratt Homes received the designer/builder award for two current projects that use wood for six-storey, wood-frame condos.

“They joined the Ontario Wood WORKS! and Home Builders Association on educational mid-rise building tours to Vancouver in 2015 and Sweden in 2017 and are demonstrated leaders in mid-rise development,” executive director of the Ontario Wood WORKS! Program Marianne Berube said.

“Wood is an extraordinary building material,” she said. “It is also a sustainable building solution. Design professionals who understand the need for sustainable development are specifying wood products for innovative, environmentally responsible construction.”
