Jammin’ Uke Group: Nov. 15, 5:30 to 6:15 p.m.; community jam will feature familiar songs, open to all levels of uke players and those that want to sing-a-long; intro workshop on the basics at 5 p.m. to get newbies started, free.

Drum Circle: Nov. 15, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m.; all ages welcome to participate in hand drum circle, no no experience needed, drums provided, free.

Canvas & Coffee: 2 p.m., Nov. 18, art session with Blue Ice Studio, $35, pre-register by calling 320-441-8742 or online at blueicestudio.com.

Willmar Community Education

Willmar Community Education has several art related classes scheduled. Pre-registration is required for all the classes, register online at www.cewillmarmn.com or in person at Jefferson Learning Center. Cooking classes are in the Food and Drink calendar elsewhere in today’s paper.

Stained glass for beginners: Nov. 26, 7-9 p.m., and Dec. 7 and 14, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Willmar Senior High School, ages 15 and up; instructor Tom Nelson; $65 fee plus $25 to $70 for supplies; make a copper foil method piece. Lead assembly techniques will be demonstrated.

Granite Area Arts Council

Granite Area Arts Council has several classes scheduled. Sign up for all classes at the K.K. Berge Gallery, 320-564-4240. All classes require pre-payment to reserve space and purchase supplies. Registration deadline is one week prior to class. Late registrations must contact the artist directly for permission.

Chip carving: Nov. 21, 6 to 8:30 p.m.; $15 plus $5 for materials, maximum of 6 participants; Joe Hauger provides a quick introduction to the art of chip carving; knives available to borrow or purchase from instructor.

Milan Village Arts

Open carving night: Carvers of all persuasions are invited to meet from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the school to carve and network. Free.

Silver Studio: open to all those that have taken beginning silversmithing and are MVAS members. Fee is $10 for evening and $20 for all day.

Weaving Studio: open to those with experience with looms or have taken the weaving rugs class and are MVAS members; by appointment or join a weaving group, no fee, looms are maintained with warp at no cost.

Framing Studio: a fully-functional framing workshop open to those taken the framing workshop and are MVAS members; $5 hour, $10 for half day, $20 full day, by appointment only.
