Homes on the tour
Just a short drive from the vibrant heart of the Town of Floyd, is the picturesque home of Wade and Janet Nystrom. Their majestic 1910 residence with large woodworking barn and inviting terrace is a testament to 17 years of meticulous restoration and Wade’s masterful craftsmanship in furnishings and artwork.
Rodger and Sherry Foster’s expansive home, “Scionhaven” built in 2017, features a Victorian theme that blends nostalgia with contemporary comforts through exquisite woodwork and antique touches. Outside, an outdoor kitchen, tranquil pond, and flourishing gardens await. Not just a pretty face, this productive home produces most of the food the Fosters put on their table!
Located along the Little River, the dream home of Tupper and Virginia Garden was designed by their talented son and newly built by Floyd-based Omnibuild Construction. At just 1400 square feet, the home exudes a sense of warmth and spaciousness with soaring pine ceilings and a cozy kitchen. Every step within this home is a journey of tranquility and the realization of fulfilled dreams.
A unique experience along the tour that is not to be missed is a stop at the Virginia Highland Haven Airstream Park. Visitors will be treated to an exclusive tour of four Airstream “silver sanctuaries,” each uniquely personalized. Meet the owners and get a glimpse into their special lifestyle of freedom and wanderlust.
