Friends and family gathered at St John Ogilvie High for the senior school awards.

Dozens of prizes were handed out to youngsters who had excelled throughout the year.

Head teacher Lorna Lawson told the audience: “The theme of resilience and the ability to overcome hurdles in life, is at the heart of the school ethos motto – Commitment, Ambition, Resilience and Equality – which of course spells out CARE.

“It is in our encouragement of one another that we create a sense of never giving up and an ethos of achievement.

“I encourage the young people to spread the message of resilience to all they care for. Well done to all our award winners.”
