Irish Club float in city parade

Irish Club members had the fun opportunity to celebrate their heritage with the local community during the annual Manchester Saint Patrick Parade March 31.
The club enjoys taking part in this festive event each year, said Mollie Mannion, a senior nursing student and club president, and the Irish Club float is always well received by the public.
“Looking happy but a little soggy!” commented club adviser Father Jerome Day OSB as the float made its way down Elm Street.
The club traditionally sponsors a float, and this year the float depicted the Irish parliament on its 100th anniversary.
The centennial float was titled “A Salute to Irish Democracy: Dail Eireann 1919-2019.”
The club thanks the crew in the woodworking shop for all their insights and efforts in helping the club construct the float.
